Kit complet Ki Gas replacement system

This kit has been produced to offer a working option to the original KI GAS Starting System which is no longer available.

The new heater plug supplied is a ‘thermo-start’ type which will self-feed fuel and heat at the same time.

This replaces the need for pumping and atomising.

This heater plug relies on the fuel be gravity fed to function correctly.

Installation Instructions

1. Remove battery cables from battery then remove the original coil type heater plug from the intake manifold and fit the new bougie supplied in the kit.

2. Disconnect the current fuel pipe from the KI GAS tank and using the new length of pipe and fittings gently bend the pipe to its new position and reconnect the KI GAS tank to the new heater plug* (As many original tanks have been moved over the lifetime of the tractor some cutting of the pipe may be required). Make sure that when fitting the new pipe it flows lower than the KI GAS tank so as to gravity feed the new heater plug. 3. Connect the original electrical connection from the old heater plug to the new one and test. When the bougie heats up the valve opens to allow hot fuel to enter the manifold and aid starting Please Note: Anything shown within the bracket marked ‘A’ is no longer available new. There are two options available, Option one part includes the new pipe bougie and all fitting to connect to your original ki gas tank. Option 2 includes KI GAS tank, new bougie and all pipe and fittings available separately. The tank should be filled with normal diesel fuel.
